HIF

HIF is a Western Australia (Perth) based Australian health fund that offers national 485 visa health insurance policies. It was recently awarded by Canstar as ‘outstanding value’ for its extra’s option. These extra’s can be added to any 485 visa health insurance policy and include elements such as dental, optical and physio. All their overseas visitor health cover are DIBP compliant for working visa requirements (including the 485 visa).

HIF is a not-for-profit health fund which means they don’t focus on making a profit (or increasing the share price) but on providing value for members. They also have strong green credentials and is Australia’s first certified carbon neutral health fund.

In 2014 HIF increased their average policy prices by the least of any Australia health fund. This has health their health insurance for 457 visa holders remain one the most competitive within the sector.
